 fourth year\, the Black Excellence Exhibition at the Petersburg Community R
 esiliency Hub is bringing together artists across mediums and expressions i
 n a bold celebration of Black love\, identity\, and the significance of art
  and culture as both refuge and resistance in times of oppression.\n\nThe e
 xhibition will feature painting\, photography\, performance and literary ar
 t as featured creators showcase the nuance of Black identity and love at th
 e intersections of joy and grief\, intimacy and defiance\, memory and futur
 ity—offering a space where culture is honored\, connections are built and t
 he beauty and complexity of Black love is at the center. \n\n“Black voices 
 in the art world have always had to fight for the right to be heard. Now mo
 re than ever it is important that we continue to share our stories\, not on
 ly about our struggles and hardships but also about joy\, triumphs\, and lo
 ve.” said Exhibit curator\, Melchisedek Shabazz.\n\nMore than an art show\,
  The Black Excellence Exhibition will feature performances\, Hor d'oeuvres 
 and hearty love potions. Attendees can expect to be fully immersed in the e
 xperience—an invitation to witness and celebrate enduring love and creativi
 ty even amidst hostility and political turmoil. The exhibition is a salient
  reminder that art is both a connective tissue and a necessary tool for cre
 ative expressions\, interrelatedness\, resistance and survival. \n\nOpening
  night of The Black Excellence Exhibition opening will take place Saturday\
 , February 7\, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.\, with performances beginnin
