Ken was born in Richmond, Virginia, and received a BS degree in Radiology Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1983. He worked in the radiology field for several years prior to answering a call to ministry. He spent a year at Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky, before returning to Richmond to help plant a church. Ken and his wife, Becky, planted the Richmond Vineyard (The Bridge RVA) church in 1995, which they’ve pastored for nearly 30 years. In 2019, the church launched The Neighborhood Literacy Center, where he and a faithful team of volunteers work with children from Richmond Public Schools, helping them achieve grade-level reading prior to entering middle school.
