https://reservations.vmfa.museum/state/Myinfo.aspx?ActivityID=7237Join us for a captivating evening of live music, comedy, and spoken-word poetry, featuring and hosted by Roscoe Burnems, City of Richmond’s Inaugural Poet Laureate, and presented by The Writer's Den. Multiple performances will contemplate the persistent yet complicated notion of the American Dream from the perspectives of people of African descent. The program’s thought-provoking theme is inspired by VMFA’s special exhibitions A Long Arc: Photography and the American South since 1845 and American, born Hungary: Kertész, Capa, and the Hungarian American Photographic Legacy, both on view from October 5, 2024, through January 26, 2025, and it is also inspired by the VA 250 American Revolution Celebration.
