Metamorphosis in Animation: A Deep Dive

One of animation’s most unique virtues as a medium is its ability to transform. With the right choice of frames, ordinary trucks, an average high schooler, and a boy from Neo-Tokyo can become crime fighting robots, heroic magical girls, and world ending Lovecraftian horror-terrors all in the blink of an eye. During this program, participants will have a chance to make collaborative metamorphosis animation as a group, learning about a key principle of the medium and its ability to reshape just about anything into whatever we can imagine.
