Where We Live is a show that expresses the essence of this landmark place, of neighborhoods with porches, natural delights such as the James River, drenched in the allure of the historic South, remembering a Lost Cause, or rallying to modern-day BLM causes, a city continuously reinventing itself– by members of the Metropolitan Richmond Artists Association.

Metro Richmond Artists Association (MRAA) promotes and encourages the creation of visual art.  Its history as Richmond’s oldest non-profit professional art association began when a group of full-time art instructors and other professional artists from the Richmond Professional Institute (now Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Arts) started the area’s very first art organization in 1955. MRAA brings education to the Richmond community through workshops, programs, and outstanding art exhibitions. Comprised of professional, working artists, a juried membership provides the fellowship of like-minded artists and the opportunity for prominent exposure and sales via group shows.
