Richmond Yiddish Week is a grassroots, interdisciplinary festival that celebrates the richness and diversity of Yiddish heritage in an effort to sustain Yiddishkayt (Yiddish culture) for future generations. Virginia’s first Yiddish festival, Yiddish Week serves as a resource for Richmonders of all backgrounds to find meaning in the vibrant cultural legacy of Yiddishland – the transnational, diasporic world of Yiddish-speaking Jewry in all its historic and contemporary expressions.

• Tuesday, January 13: Electric Rose: The Rose Cohen Experience at Révéler in Carytown
• Wednesday, January 14: SHTTL (2022) Film Screening at VCU Commons Theater
• Thursday, January 15: 'The Struggle with God in Modern Yiddish Poetry' Workshop at Quarry in Carytown 
• Friday, January 16: 'What is Yiddishkayt? An Introduction to Yiddish Language and Culture' at University of Richmond
