VCUarts Theatre Senior Showcase 2022

The VCU Department of Theatre presents our Class of 2022 Senior Showcase. This filmed showcase introduces nine performance seniors and recent graduates pursuing careers as professional actors. Rising performance seniors audition to take part in Senior Showcase, a capstone experience where they are introduced to professional casting directors, agents, and managers. This opportunity is an invaluable step between their education and developing careers as performers. Showcase is not only an educational experience where students prepare marketing materials and get to learn by working with industry professionals, but also an opportunity to make professional connections— to start building a network within the industry and with fellow artists around the country.

Before the pandemic, Senior Showcase traveled in person to perform for industry professionals in New York, Los Angeles, and/or Atlanta. This is the department’s third Showcase to be filmed instead of taking place in person. The virtual Showcase has actually widened our audience and presented new and exciting connections, and the department is exploring options for future years.

The department is so grateful for the support from our VCU community as these young artists make their debut as professional actors.
