This June, the non-profit gallery Artspace continues its collaboration with CVA / U-Turn, Inc. by providing the second in a series of exhibitions for the mixed-use facility at 2101 Maywill Street, Richmond, VA 23230.  ”Some Like It Hot” will feature contemporary art created by artist members of Artspace Gallery.

More than ten local artists are bringing the heat; they’ve harnessed their energy to create over 50 extraordinary original works to ignite the imagination! Artwork is for sale and purchases will benefit the non-profit gallery and artists alike. 

The show runs from June 3, 2022 through August 27, 2022.  

The opening reception on June 10, 2022 will feature live music provided by Adam Hopkins, refreshments and a cash bar. 

Doors open at 6:00 PM

Concert begins at 7:00 PM.

Doors close at 8:00 PM

Artwork in this show includes several mediums; painting, drawing, photography, mixed media and more.

Artists participating in the show include: Dana Frostick, Donna Frostick, Sandhi Schimmel Gold, Ed Holten, Lisa Lezell Levine, Lew Lott, Sandra Nye-Moran, Michael A. Pierce, Martha Prideaux, Ed Tepper and Elaine Rogers.

UTURN is an indoor sports facility mentoring youth of Richmond. 

The Collaboratory of Virginia (CVA) is a co-working space exclusively for non-profits. Both organizations are located in the Maywill St. building. 

Artspace Gallery is a non-profit organization whose goal is to introduce the community to contemporary art through exhibitions, lectures, critiques, education and outreach programs. It also provides opportunities for local artists; from student to accomplished, to exhibit their work in a professional fine art gallery setting.
