Mark your calendars for the last three segments of the Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia’s Annual Winter Lecture Series.  In conjunction with the celebration of Black History Month, the lecture on Feb.23 will be a first-person portrayal of Sojourner Truth given by Charmaine Crowell- White, Living History Interpreter. On March. 9, author Connie Lapallo will discuss her new book and the final novel in the Jamestown Sky series, “The Sun is But a Morning Star” based on the true story of Joan Peirce and the women and children of Jamestown, Virginia. The sixth and final lecture on March. 23 “Rediscovery: What’s New at Jamestown Digs” will be given by Danny Schmidt, Senior Archaeologist at Jamestown.
