A Dream Outside My Body is an exhibition investigating how connection and shared space influence the work of 10 contemporary artists. While each of the participating artists has jewelry or metalsmithing as a significant component of their practice, the exhibition spans a variety of disciplines, including ceramics, paper, woodcarving, illustration, painting, photography, and sculpture.

The participating artists—Adam Atkinson, Cindy Cheng, Margo Csipo, J Taran Diamond, Luci Jockel, Elliot Keeley, Andy Lowrie, Molly Shulman, April Wood, and Elaine Zukowski—are all connected through the Baltimore Jewelry Center (BJC). All of these artists are members of the BJC community; many are instructors or students, some balance their personal and professional practices within the studio, and others interact with the physical space less frequently, but maintain their connection to the community through interpersonal relationships.
