A New Mosaic: African American Art

This Virginia Museum of Fine Arts exhibition features high-quality photographic reproductions of works by African American artists spanning nearly 200 years, from the 19th century through today.
Bringing the Dead to Life

By exploring the link between science and artistry, this exhibition features nearly 200 years of paleontological discoveries through the lens of paleoart. From early impressions of sluggish, lizard-like creatures to modern examples of brightly colored beasts covered in feathers, this exhibition illustrates how our perceptions of dinosaurs continue to evolve with every discovery.
Birds of the Commonwealth

Marvel at the beauty and diversity of Virginia’s avian inhabitants, captured through the lens of local photographers and the artistry of area taxidermists. Nearly 40 species showcase birds of prey, waterfowl, songbirds, owls, hummingbirds and more.
