Studio Two Three, a Richmond community arts space that offers studios, classes and workshops, artist residency, and open doors, hosts historians G. Samantha Rosenthal and Gregory D. Smithers as they discuss their recent works. Rosenthal’s Living Queer History follows the development of the Roanoke LGBTQ+ community over many generations as members explore their relationship with the past, while Smithers’s Reclaiming Two-Spirits investigates the erasure and reveals the history of Indigenous gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender peoples.

Arrive a little early or stay late, and take part in creative book arts projects!
