This February 4 from 5-8 p.m., as part of RVA First Fridays, ART 180 invites you to join us for a celebration of our Black Is _____ 365 project's anniversary. The project sought to center Black history and culture beyond the short window of Black History Month and to empower the young people that we serve to imagine themselves as they desire, free of limitations.
February 4, we're hosting an exhibition of in-progress artwork created by the young people in ART 180’s programs, a virtual reality experience created by Hidden In Plain Site, a drum circle led by Dr. Ram Bhagat, art activities, and a community procession to Maggie L. Walker Memorial Plaza and back ending with the dedication and declaration of our Atlas gallery as a restorative community space.
