December 2019 Art Exhibits

The following exhibits will be on display from Friday, December 6, 2019, through Monday, December 30, 2019:

Gellman Room—Color and black-and-white images of a variety of subjects by the contributing members of the Focus Group Camera Club

Dooley Foyer—I Am 400—a collection of original paintings created by father and son artists, Jerome and Jeromyah Jones, highlighting the character, culture, and contributions of African Americans during this historic period

Dooley Hall —Glimpses of Haiti—small-scale, vividly colored paintings of Haitian scenes by local artist, Rebecca Taylor

2nd Floor Gallery—Faces from Scream Forest—a series of portraits and pieces depicting the tortured souls of one of Virginia’s top ranking Halloween haunts by actress and artist, Lillie Patteson

The library’s permanent collections include works by David Freed, Helen & Alvin Hattorf, and Anne Newbold Perkins.
