Deconstructing an Icon: Natural Bridge

Friday, November 27 at 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Natural Bridge in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley is one of the world’s most iconic geological formations.

It has been visited by hundreds of thousands, and its image has been photographed and reproduced in countless ways.

This show presents ten new paintings of Natural Bridge by RVA artist Donna Frostick; some are readily recognizable as the iconic bridge formation, while others are highly abstracted and stylized. Taken together, they form a presentation of the entire formation in space and time.

The show runs from November 27, 2020 through January 16, 2021.
