Digital Illustration

Wednesday, March 6 at 6:00pm to 9:00pm

"No matter what your cultural sophistication or what language you speak, everyone can understand images."
- Tibor Kalman

An illustration is a creative art form that when used properly, can be a powerful tool to communicate a more complex idea to people of many backgrounds. In this class, we will harness the basics of color, form, and texture within Adobe Illustrator to create your own graphic illustration. Whether you're new to digital illustration or have more experience, you'll walk away from this class with a more considered approach to your work, as well as the techniques to create confidently with Adobe Illustrator. If you have a laptop with Adobe Illustrator installed, bring it with you.

ALEX FULTON is a graphic designer and illustrator living and working in Richmond, Virginia. As a print-based designer, she loves using many combined techniques such as drawing, collaging, painting and digital manipulation to create her work. Some of her favorite things are reading, fashion, cats, gardening, bugs, cooking, small rodents, video games, dogs and come to think of it, pretty much any animal of any kin
