This free concert showcases the beauty and drama of 19th-century music. Franz Schubert’s 7th symphony is called "Unfinished," but it’s also unforgettable. Composed during the beginning of his decline in health (he died in 1828 at age 31), the symphony has only two movements. Packed into those 25 minutes are some of the most riveting melodies and harmonies to flow across concert halls for the next two hundred years. “In Autumn” and “The Accursed Huntsman” round out the show. Maestro Wilson gives a pre-concert talk at 3:00 p.m. More information about Richmond’s semi-professional classical orchestra is at richmondphilharmonic.org.
