Eat. Talk. Write. tour is an exciting and unique opportunity for teens and pre-teens to explore the fascinating relationship between food and culture this summer. We will explore 9 cultures in 3 days by visiting 9 ethnic restaurants enjoying delicious food and making connection.

Eat.Talk.Write. is more than just a food tour. It is a cultural and culinary immersion that sparks lively interactions among chefs/restaurant owners and their fellow guests. We will visit with numerous chefs across Richmond and interview them about their stories, their passion for cooking, and why they serve what they serve.

We will mindfully sample the foods, taking note of all of our senses at play. We will learn about different spices and flavors. We will observe everything. Then students will go home with a full stomach and an open mind and craft their own food reviews (modeling some of the famous food reviewers we will examine).
