Richmond Jazz Society presents the exhibition VIRGINIA JAZZ: The Early Years, highlighting over 30 Virginia artists who made significant contributions, nationally and internationally, to the development of Jazz as American artform; from the early 1900's to the mid-60's. Recognized artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Pearl Bailey and Bill "Bojangles" Robinson are featured and unknown heroes like Richmond's Johnsons Happy Pals are introduced.
