Where did you go today? And how did you get there? We have developed so many modes of transportation that travel is possible like never before. Going Places is an interactive exhibition that explores the technology behind travel. Climb aboard a flight simulator to pilot a plane, ride on a hovercraft, pack a cargo ship without capsizing it, try sailing a land yacht across heavy winds, and more as you explore the incredible technology that makes the farthest reaches of our planet accessible.
Guests will observe, understand and use an incredible range of travel technology to see how it makes our lives easier and better, and learn how the Earth’s awesome size and natural processes, like gravity, wind, currents, waves, friction, and changing landscapes are overcome by the ingenious designs, researched and developed over time.
With 17 exhibits and eight information kiosks detailing the incredible technology pioneered by humans to make the farthest reaches of our planet accessible, Going Places is a wild ride!
