In her current show at Crossroads Art Center, Linda Hollett-Bazouzi shares her recent experiences in Cairo, Alexandria, and Al-Fayyum Oasis.
The show is a collection of oil paintings done during and after Hollett-Bazouzi’s November trip to Egypt, her 5th trip to the country. The title reflects two repeating motifs during her visit—the height of many street curbs (which provided a great physical challenge), and the ubiquitous tea and coffee served to customers and shopkeepers alike, appearing and disappearing as if by magic. Works done with oil paint and palette knife.
