Lunch Break Science - Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 12:00pm to 12:45pm

Pumpkin Spice season is finally here, bringing milder weather, changing leaves, exciting holidays and a lot more! So why do most of us love pumpkin spice and autumn? Find out in our presentation “Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice.” We’ll discuss all your seasonal faves and the fascinating science behind why they trigger those feel-good chemicals in your brain. We’ll also touch on the stress of the holidays and chat about how to recognize advertisements that take advantage of our affinity for the season.

Join neuroscientist Dr. Catherine Franssen for a science treat that is sure to give you pumpkin… to talk about!
