Mental health is an important component to everyone's overall wellness. It affects just about all of us in some form or fashion, and yet is often misunderstood. Not everyone feels comfortable seeking help or is aware that medical intervention options are available. This is commonly due to stigmas associated with discussing mental health.

The word “stigma” holds a lot of power but where does it come from? More importantly, why do we have stigma and how do we eradicate it? Find out in our upcoming lecture, The Science of Stigma. Stigmas can weigh heavily on someone who may be struggling with mental wellness and can impede recovery. That’s why it’s important to dispel old misconceptions.

Come learn the science behind stigma, it’s different forms, it’s harmful effects on our mental health, and how we can address and reduce it in all our lives. It’s time to nurture not only our physical health, but also our mental health!
