MRAA announces a show of member work with the theme Reawakening. It seems that in this cooler fall season many of us yearn to leave our quarantine caves and reenter the world… and somehow it seems like reawakening.
“During this pandemic, the professional artists in our group took refuge in our most trusted retreat, our studios.” Susan Fisher, president of the Metropolitan Richmond Artists Association (MRAA) explained. “A lot of great art work has been produced. MRAA will show much of it November 2 to December 29th at the SunTrust Center gallery at 10th and Main Streets.”
With more than 35 pieces of art, most created during the pandemic, the works by the professional artists of the Metropolitan Richmond Artists Association are available for public viewing from 7 am to 7pm in the gallery which adjoins a spacious building lobby– making social distancing easy. Street parking and paid parking at the building is available (enter garage on Cary Street and follow signs to Bank Lobby).
The Metropolitan Richmond Artists Association (MRAA) is a not for profit professional association whose purpose is to promote and encourage the creation of all forms of the visual arts and to foster information sharing through group sponsored workshops, programs and outstanding art exhibitions. Our juried members include artists working in a wide range of contemporary media.
