Books, Beads & More, located at 8106 Mechanicsville Turnpike, will hold a book signing on November 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring local author Frances Aylor and her newly released mystery, Choosing Guilt.

The story centers on advertising executive Corinne Peerland, who 30 years ago made a decision that changed her life forever. Now a Senate candidate, she’s ready to face her mistakes. But her family have secrets of their own, which they fear will be exposed during her campaign. Can she atone for her past without destroying their future? How far will they do to stop her? Set in the snow-coated jagged peaks of the Swiss Alps, Choosing Guilt is a suspenseful novel of tangled family relationships, ambition and betrayal.

Aylor began writing mysteries after an investment career, and is the award-winning author of the financial thriller Money Grab. An avid traveler, she likes to incorporate her adventures into her writing.

She is a member of Sisters in Crime and International Thriller Writers, and her short stories have been published in several anthologies. Choosing Guilt is her second novel.
