ODE to the ANOMALOUS

The group exhibition serves as a written note in the margins pinning the present and creating future entry points. Through presented select works and installation, the exhibition navigates the intersections experienced between curator, collector and observer. Works scoping across text, abstract, mixed media painting and textile collage transmute the artists’ redirection away from traditional and normalized processes, materials and stories. These narratives materialize a safe space for dialogue utilizing meaning-making processes, ethnography, cultural archiving, and self-excavation as methods to approach and actualize vulnerability, post-modern thought, holistic growth and revolution. Such content have become revolving touch-points for the curator and artists. The operationalization of transference echoes throughout the works resounding within these mirrors creating a tangible matrix for the externalized experience.
