"One Degree of Separation: Jordan Flower, Linda Hollett-Bazouzi, Coakley Brown"

Friday, November 2 at 10:00am to 9:00pm

The title for this show celebrates the many different ways in which these three artists are ‘related’ to each other. While all three landscape painters are representational artists, each expresses that focus through studio work, painting en plein air, or a combinations of both. One uses oil paints, one uses acrylics, one uses water-miscible oils. Two use brushes, one uses only a palette knife. All three were/are teachers; two teaching art, one teaching science. Two taught in Henrico County, one in Hanover, but all got their degrees in Virginia. Two were co-workers, one a student of the other. Enjoy seeing how three artists who hardly knew each other have more in common than they realized.

Sunday, Sept 9, 2 to 5 pm, opening reception  —Light refreshments and comments by the artists.

I am so happy with this exhibition. The Montpelier Center has done an excellent job of promoting it, and we have had great feedback so far!
