About this Event
View map1708 is pleased to announce our upcoming solo exhibition by James Williams III. Many Moons presents a selection of new works from interdisciplinary artist James Williams III (b. 1992), consisting of drawings and paintings supported by installation and performance pieces that strive to convey ancestral themes anchored in resilience, navigation, and perseverance. Williams’ layered approach to this abstract body of work reflects multiple expressions and gestures coexisting simultaneously in order to provide evidence of a more inclusive narrative beyond the conventional. This presentation is the most extensive exhibition of his work to date and demonstrates the expansion of his visual language within the last year.
