Poetry Reading: Richard Rose

Local poet and composer Richard Rose will read and perform poems and stories from House of A Thousand Rooms, Forms of Resistance and Death on his Heels in Richmond.

Richard L. Rose is a writer, composer, and retired science teacher from Richmond, Virginia. House of a Thousand Rooms comprises poetry from previous collections and librettos. Rose's operas have been performed by Capitol Opera Richmond and other ensembles at the Black History Museum, the Main Library Gellman Room, and other venues. His poems have received awards from the Poetry Society of Virginia and his poems and stories have appeared in Artemis, The Piedmont Journal of Poetry & Fiction, Lingering in the Margins Anthology of River City Poets, and the Centennial Anthology of the Virginia Writers Club.
