James K. Dill’s debut novel, Racing Shadows, will be published in October of 2019 by Apprentice House Press. Looking for an artistic outlet, Jim took up writing through a master class offered by James River Writers and noted author, David L. Robbins in 2016. Racing Shadows, a novel of Olympic ambitions, simmered for many years from Jim’s running career. Jim ran Boston, New York City, and many other national and international races, including the 1984 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials. He is currently editing a second novel about growing-up and complex family relationships. Jim works full time as Executive Director for the Virginia College Fund. Before his role with the VCF, he had a successful career in financial services. He is active in several civic associations and councils. Jim graduated from East Carolina University with a BS degree and from Wake Forest University in 1985 with an MA and MBA. Jim, his wife and family reside in historic Richmond, Virginia.
