September 2019 Art Exhibits

The following exhibits will be on display from Friday, September 6, 2019, through Tuesday, October 1, 2019:

Gellman RoomAccidentally Inspired—colorful paintings by Richmond artist Darlene Marschak

Dooley FoyerOur Biodiversity—the beauty of the natural world in images of plants, animals, and insects by Colonial Heights photographer Douglas L. Beecher

Dooley HallGenerations—family-inspired, photorealistic graphite and charcoal portraits drawn by Richmond artist Riley O. James, Jr.

2nd Floor GalleryHome—a dreamlike  series of acrylic-on-canvas paintings from the memories of growing up in NYC and the imagination of New York City artist Helene Ruiz 

The library’s permanent collections include works by David Freed, Helen & Alvin Hattorf, and Anne Newbold Perkins.
