Children and grownups of all backgrounds adore the joyful and bright music of Sonia De Los Santos. Her songs, in both Spanish and English, reflect her inspiring journey of growing up in Mexico, moving to another country, learning about other cultures, and in the process, feeling closer to her own Mexican heritage. With sounds inspired by various Latin American rhythms from Mexico, Colombia, and Peru as well as North American folk traditions, Sonia weaves a personal musical story that touches on universal themes of understanding.

This Modlin Center virtual event includes one bilingual 30-minute performance, two 20-minute workshops on Latin American rhythms and instruments, and a performance guide with educational activities.
