What’s the difference between a charity and a private foundation? 501c3 and a 501c4? How do you establish a nonprofit? This workshop will review introductory governance, legal status, and reporting compliance for nonprofits in Virginia. Local attorneys will answer questions related to the IRS 1023 form, as well as state and local filing requirements. The Law Librarian will also show participants how to access and use nonprofit governance, planning, and fundraising tools available at the Richmond Public Library.
