GRAMMY® Award-winning Takács Quartet is renowned for the vitality of its interpretations. Lauded by The New York Times for “revealing the familiar as unfamiliar, making the most traditional of works feel radical once more,” the quartet now enters its forty-fourth season. Edward Dusinberre (violin), Geraldine Walther (viola), and András Fejér (cello) will be joined with new member Harumi Rhodes following the retirement of its founding member and second violinist Károly Schranz. The evening’s performance will include String Quartet in G Major, Op. 76, No. 1 by Joseph Haydn; String Quartet in F Major, Op. 135 by Ludwig van Beethoven; and String Quartet No. 1 in G minor, Op. 27 by Edvard Grieg.
