Saturday, October 20 at 11:00am to 4:00pm
A wonderful family festival that shares the culture of the Czrch & Slovak families who settled on abandoned farms after the Civil War. The traditional music and dancing is both joyful and colorful and the traditional foods, such as roast pork with Knedliky (dumplings) & sauerkraut, Klobasa (sausage), Zelniky (cabbage rolls), and the not to be missed pastries such as Kolace are delicious. There will also be Pivo (beer). Also there will be genealogical exhibits, farm exhibits, and children's activities. The Czech & Slovak Gallery in the Prince George County Regional Heritage Center will be open and there will be an exhibit of Czech glass.
