For 2025, the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) has chose the theme of African Americans and Labor. BHMVA has a long and committed history of preserving the stories and amplifying the voices of the Black community in Virginia and beyond.  This exhibition is aligned with ASALH's 2025 them and is a snapshot that highlights the contributions of just a few of these individuals.
