This festival brings national companies together to present original works which engage audience members to experience new ways to think about contemporary dance. This year the dancers arrive from Wisconsin, New York, California, Ohio,Washington, DC, Pennsylvania. K Dance and Conflux Dance Theatre represent the Richmond area. Dance Magazine's "25 to Watch" has recognized three of our guests: Genna Moroni, 2nd Best Dance Company and Le Chiao-Ping Dance.

Intriguing choreographic themes are explored in this festival...a solo inspired by the legendary dancer Loie Fuller, a duet that was inspired by a scene in the 1973 film "Fantastic Planet" by Rene Laloux, to sensations of realizing the limitations of life and body.
