Mark Campbell and Friends

Born in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, award winning fiddler Mark Campbell has spent decades traveling throughout Virginia and neighboring states, learning directly from traditional old time musicians and collecting the fiddle tunes, songs, and stories that have been passed from generation to generation.

For this special program, Mark Campbell and Friends will present fiddle tunes, ballads, and old-time string band music from Virginia and the surrounding region. The concert will feature treasured family songs, lively dance tunes, and even a few musical reflections on the joys (and occasional challenges) of marital bliss! Joining Mark are his daughter, singer Mauren Campbell, guitarist George Frick, and banjoist Bruce Blizard, bringing together a warm and wonderful celebration of one of America’s richest musical traditions.

Concert begins at 7:30, doors open at 7:00. There’s plenty of parking and the venue is accessible to all. Light refreshments (coffee, tea and pastries) will be available
