Virago Alley

Virago Alley, the organization behind the Richmond Ren Faire, upholds the mission to provide an accessible and inclusive platform for the exploration, education, and preservation of historical martial arts and artisan trades.

The organization serves as a hub for knowledge exchange, skill development, and community building; uniting individuals as well as existing groups who share a passion for historic disciplines.

Virago Alley was formed to develop a community center that will provide a combat training facility, indoor archery range, and dedicated workshop space representing various historical trades & crafts. Events such as the Richmond Ren Faire and Warriors in Bloom serve as platform for these initiatives with the goal of bringing this community center to life so that these skills & techniques can be celebrated, preserved, and practiced year round.
