TACA Dance & Drumming Ensemble

Experience the vibrant rhythms, movement, and culture of Africa with the TACA Dance & Drumming Ensemble. Since 2022, this dynamic group has delighted audiences across Hampton Roads and Tidewater with authentic African dance, live drumming, and engaging cultural performances.

Featuring artists from Ghana, Sierra Leone, Zambia, and the United States, the ensemble blends traditional African dance and music with contemporary Afrobeats, creating an energetic and interactive experience filled with powerful rhythms, colorful costumes, and joyful celebration.

The ensemble has performed at festivals, cultural celebrations, schools, and community events throughout Virginia, including Juneteenth at the Oceanfront, African Landing Day at Fort Monroe, Nubian Fest, and the Hampton History Museum Mosaic Festival.

A proud member of the Virginia Commission for the Arts Touring Roster, the TACA Dance & Drumming Ensemble brings an unforgettable African Diaspora cultural experience to audiences of all ages.
