Father/Son – Chuck and Noah Scalin open their new exhibition at the Petersburg Area Art League. Together, their work forms a compelling dialogue—between generations, between mediums, and between shared influence and individual identity. Exhibition runs June 12th through July 4th. Free.
Sankofa Sessions: The Cookout – Culture, community, and conversation. Live podcast meets block party with real talk, music, food, and vibes. Special guests this month include Delegate Kimberly Pope-Adams, Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy Director, Lakeisha Cooke, and Virginia State University President, Makola Abdullah. Art Park at Petersburg Area Art League. Free.
Jazz in the Stacks with Sounds Funny Band at the Petersburg Public Library from 6-9PM. Free.
Hamilton Glass Mural Unveiling – Join the community for the ribbon cutting and dedication of Petersburg’s newest mural, celebrating public art and a colorful
addition to the city by artist Hamilton Glass and the Petersburg Arts Council. 6PM under the Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial Bridge
1776/2026 – An America 250th exhibition featuring artists Angela Orrell, Bobby Lynch, and Daniel Jones at the Petersburg Visitor Center at Southside Depot. Meet the artists from 5-9PM. Show runs through August 2nd. Free.
