WILD & SOFT – Cyanotypes by Katharine T. Jacobs
Botanical cyanotypes by Northern California artist Katharine T. Jacobs, made from pressed wildflowers and sunlight. Katharine brings them to Richmond—her first solo show on the East Coast—presented by The Crone House and Blue Bee Cider.
The Crone House, a women-led contemporary art gallery, brings Northern California artist Katharine T. Jacobs to Richmond in partnership with Blue Bee Cider (Venue Partner, 4811 Bethlehem Rd Ste A, Richmond, VA)—her first solo show on the East Coast—on view August 1 through September 30.
Every spring and summer Katharine returns to the wild blooms and sunshine, pressing wildflowers into luminous prints that distill their beauty, survival, and quiet radiance. She uses this alchemy as artistic exercise to rest, recharge, and reconnect to a softer side of her art and, ultimately, herself.
