Chesterfield Outdoor Fest, presented by Chesterfield Parks and Recreation in partnership with Virginia State Parks, is a free, family-friendly event showcasing a variety of outdoor activities throughout the county. For questions, contact Parks and Recreation.

Register to run the Beaver Tail Trail to kick off the 2026 Outdoor Festival at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26.
2026 Outdoor Fest
For 2026, Outdoor Fest is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Pocahontas State Park. Parking is free in observance of National Public Lands Day.
Activities and Entertainment
The expanded event includes demonstrations and immersive experiences for all ages and abilities. In addition to live music, beer garden and food trucks, we’ll have:

Bark Ranger (dogs on a leash are welcome)
Paddleboarding
Kayaking
Guided hikes
Outdoor yoga and fitness
Demonstrations
Dog jumping, slacklining, BMX, aerial performance, mountain biking and more!

Admission to Pocahontas State Park and Outdoor Fest are FREE! September 26th is National Public Lands Day, so admission to the park is waived, and the Outdoor Fest event is FREE!
