The Shady Grove Coffeehouse

Shady Grove Coffeehouse is a volunteer‑run, non‑profit acoustic music series sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Community Church in Glen Allen, Virginia. For twenty-five years, we’ve brought exceptional local, regional, and nationally touring artists to Richmond’s northwest suburbs, offering audiences an intimate, welcoming, alcohol-free, family‑friendly listening space.

Since its founding, the Shady Grove Coffeehouse has been a premier folk music listening room in the greater Richmond area. The series presents monthly performances by a wide variety of traditional and contemporary folk and Americana performers from September through May each year in our cozy, intimate, 150-seat venue.
