The Latin Ballet of Virginia (LBV) is a Richmond-based nonprofit performing arts organization dedicated to enriching communities through the dance, music, and cultures of Latin America and Spain. Through its Professional Company, School of the Latin Ballet of Virginia, Youth Companies, LBV Extension, touring performances, and community outreach and education programs, LBV creates opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience culture through the arts.
For more than 25 years, LBV has brought together professional performance, culturally rooted dance education, and storytelling to celebrate the diversity of Latin American and Spanish traditions while fostering artistic excellence, cultural understanding, and connection. From theaters and museums to schools, libraries, festivals, and community spaces, LBV works to make meaningful arts experiences accessible throughout Virginia and beyond.
At the heart of LBV’s work is the belief that dance can serve as a bridge between cultures—preserving and sharing traditions while creating space for new voices, artistic exploration, and the next generation of dancers and audiences.
